APPLICANTS SOUGHT FOR
YOUTH AMBASSADORS EXCHANGE
Millstadt Sister Cities Organization seeks Millstadt area high school students and host families interested in a Youth Ambassadors Exchange with its Sister City, Gross-Bieberau, Germany during the summer of 2010. Millstadt students will travel to Germany approximately June 25 for a month-long stay with a host family who has a student of about the same age. German students will be in Millstadt during August.
Youth Ambassadors must be current residents of Millstadt Consolidated School District #160 between age 16 (or having completed sophomore year of high school) and 19 years old at the time of the exchange and will be selected based on the following:
A completed application;
Letter of reference from a high school teacher;
Personal interview with Youth Ambassadors Exchange Committee;
Agreement to provide an oral or written report after the exchange;
Willingness to host a German student on reciprocal visit;
Completion of one year of high school German (preferred but not required); and
Parents / guardians must become members of Millstadt Sister Cities Organization.
The exchange offers youth from both countries a unique opportunity to experience first-hand the culture of their sister city.
