Joseph Marlyn Stewart
October 4, 1948 - February 3, 2010

Joseph Marlyn Stewart, 61, of Cahokia, Illinois, born October 4,Stewart 1948 in Hillsboro, Illinois, passed away on Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at Forest Park Hospital. St. Louis, Missouri.

Joseph was a retired school teacher and taught many years at Dupo High School. He was a graduate of Dupo High School and Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, Illinois. After his retirement, he worked for MERS - Goodwill in St. Louis, Missouri. He was a member of Cahokia Park United Methodist Church, Cahokia, Illinois. He was a past member of the Dupo Fire Department. Joseph loved to sing in the university and church choirs. He was formerly a mentor and counselor for R.A.V.E.N.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Mary Stewart.

Surviving are his wife, Jeanine Stewart, nee Bergman; his children, John, Jeffrey, and Connie Stewart, andToni (Scott) Tilley; and two brothers, Robert (Virginia) Stewart and David Stewart. He was a dear brother in law, uncle, cousin, and friend.

Visitation will be on Sunday, February 7, 2010 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Braun Colonial Funeral Home, Cahokia, Illinois. and on Monday, February 8, 2010 from 9:00 am to 10:00 at the church.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, February 8, 2010 at Cahokia Park United Methodist Church, Cahokia, Illinois, with Reverend Beth McLaughlin officiating. Burial will be in Lake view Cemetery, Fairview Hgts, Illinois.

Memorial may be made to American Diabetes Assoc. or Cahokia Park United Methodist Church, Cahokia, Illinois.

 

Linda Darlene Byram
August 17, 1950 - February 14, 2010
Dupo, Illinois

Linda was preceded in death by her parents: Elmo & Lahoma, nee Luter, Strayhorn. Linda is survived by her husband: John “Jack” Byram Sr. of Dupo, IL., her son: John Byram Jr. of Alton, IL., her daughter: Darlene Dawn Schlemmer of Dupo, IL., her grandchildren: John Byram III, Lani Schlemmer, Katrina Byram & Makayla Schlemmer, her brothers: Walter Daniel Strayhorn of Byrnesmill, MO. & James Rodney Strayhorn of Park Hills, MO., her sister: Rhonda Elfrink of Dupo, IL., she is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Linda was a member of Cahokia Park United Methodist Church in Cahokia, IL., Eastern Star, and past worthy advisor of Rainbow Girls.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents: Ralph Amos & Katherine, nee Morris, Grossman, his 1st wife: Ellen Diana, his brothers: Larry Grossman & Dennis Grossman, and his sister: Gloria Basil. He is survived by his life partner: Sharris Spears, his son: Gary (Donna) Grossman Jr., his daughters: Julia & Lauren, his special family: Ellen & Brian, his grandchildren: Jordan, Joshua, Jay, Kaylee, & Cody, his sisters & brothers: Joyce Church, Ronald Grossman, twin brother: Jerry Grossman, Carolyn Etchison, Butch Grossman, Sharon Grossman, Karen Hagerman, Harold Grossman, Janice Blackwell, Robert Grossman, Steve Grossman, & Jane Downs, he is also survived by other relatives and friends. Gary was a United States Army veteran. He was a retired truck driver.
