Waterloo Enforces ‘No Fly Zone’ on Columbia

September 5, 2009

In one of the more anticipated non-conference matchups in the area, old Cahokia Conference rivals the Waterloo Bulldogs and the Columbia Eagles locked up for an exciting evening of prep football action. It was almost a playoff like atmosphere as the two neighboring communities came together for what proved to be another classic contest between the two schools.  The Bulldogs came away with the victory 24-17 in an exciting, hard fought contest.

Jr High Softball Squad Off to a Good Start

September 2, 2009

The Waterloo Jr High Lady Bulldogs Softball team is off to a fast start this fall.  Coached by Sarah Renner, who is in her fourth Year as Jr High Softball Coach, the Lady Bulldogs currently boast an 8-3 record.  With a few breaks here or there they could have been 11-0 since the margin of victory in those losses was so close.

It was a very festive atmosphere with the first game of the season being played on the Bulldogs new Athletic Complex with its artificial turf field. What an awesome complex it is, one that the school and community certainly should be extremely proud of, and I am sure they are.
